IMHO, software development in China needs to be systemized and normalized. Now most s/w companies in China are more like small workshops. Such workshops can't ship a high quality complicated system like an OS. We must try to evolve them into well-managed factories. I wish we had the comparable technological and managerial expertise that helped developed China's aerospace industry to boost our software industry. I hope some top level Chinese software developers in north America will share more of their industrial experiences.

BTW, Programmers should be engineers, not craftsmen.
