It's true that the "l" in the middle or at the end of a word is a tough one. The trick my accent reduction instructor taught me is to put the tongue tip forward between the teeth. Remember the tongue movement each time when there is an "l". The exceptions are: Walk, Talk, Should, Would and Could. The"l" here is silent.
