A person's thinking can be customized. For instance, when we see the word "suggest", many of us think of "propose". Unfortunately, that's not always right. In some cases, "suggest" can be explained as "imply". Look at the following example:

Our group's findings suggest that the global warming is not severe as Japanese scientists thought.
