My original answers while interviewing are:
1 year: still work in a company where I can develop myself, I won't expect promption but as long as the job is still a challenge for me.
5 years: I would become a OACETT Certified Engineering Technologist.
10 years: I might own a company like Timetech.

但是在面试的时候，那个manager再三强调虽然这个职位的Training只有1个星期，但是要真正掌握至少要1年

而且他听了我的回答，就说了一大通大道理，说他为什么要问我这些问题，这是因为一个人的人生目标是重要的，等等。他还举了一个列子给我说：if you tell me your career goal is to do the hardware only. It's OK. 当时听得我莫名其妙的。

不过看了您的帖子，我觉得他确实问的是我的个人发展方向，不是很泛的东西。结合这个职位，有四个方向我可以做：sales, implementation, customer service, project development。 ＜ r o l i a. n e t ＞

再结合我的个人能力，我比较喜欢新的技术，我的分析和开发能力都很强。所以下次如果还有机会，我会这么告诉他：
1 year: I will become a member in a project developing team. To be a programer or tester is my 1st year goal.
5 years: I will become a senior porgramer, and become a core developer in the team
