If it bankrupts, all the money lent to it by other countries will not be repaid. And most of the world's exports will have nowhere to go to. So countries like China will lose trillion dollars foreign currency reserve and tens of millions of export jobs. Therefore, other governments will give American whatever they want in order to keep it afloat. Besides, don't forget America has the weapons that can destroy the world 100 times, do you think it will sit idle when other countries prosper but itself suffers? Canada's resources may be the first thing that catch their eyes when that happens.
