If "easy and enjoyable life" is what you are looking for, you definitely don't want to be a farmer's wife. It is hard work. Especially at the beginning stage, when you don't have all the necessary equipment, it is very labour intensive. [#4264033@0 -ROLIA.NET 相约加拿大网上社区 之 枫下论坛 & 枫下部落, 枫下论坛主坛 ]

If you think you can hire others to do the work for you, think again. Maybe you can import seasonal workers from South America, but that still will eat into your profit. All farmers I know works from down to dusk three seasons a year. During the winter season, they get another job.

Most Canadian farmers inheritated the land from their family and were raised up on the farm land. They have a passion for the land, and are not looking for easy and enjoyable lifes. A big percentage of the younger generations left the farm to seek a regular job.
