1. Information architecture, development and execution of websites.

ACCOUNTABILITY:
1. Information architecture, development and execution of websites.
» Create client-side/server-side scripts based on project requirements.
» Development of web forms and cookie based scripts on a frequent basis.
» Search Engine Optimization.
» Source control software (e.g. SVN) and code versioning.
» Educate the ebusiness managers about the possibilities and limitations of client-side and server-side scripting.
» Review the current database set-up and limitations, working with Information Security (IS) and IT managers.
» Notifying the team of all equipment and capacity requirements and potential issues.
» Determine potential security issues.
2. Advanced coding for rich internet applications
» Developer investigates technology options for rich media campaigns.
» Development and unit testing of Flash based Internet applications and games, utilizing object oriented ActionScript.
» Optimize processing and distribution of rich media content for the web.
» Development of interactive web forms and Flash SharedObjects on a frequent basis.
» Flash or Flex Search Engine Optimization.
3. Researching new techniques and innovate web standards
» Create an awareness of the limitations of the web, hardware, software, and "best practices".
» Determine hardware (servers, test equipment, and so on) needs. Recommend options for purchasing hardware, software.
» Work with the testers to set up testing equipment (PCs, Macintoshes, monitors of varying size, different operating systems, and various browser types).
» Establish HTML and other web site guidelines and specifications. Create a public reference guide to the site design basics

SCOPE AND IMPACT
This role has a direct impact on achievement of enterprise wide consistent look and feel for BMO FG sites. Also contributes to richer and better user experiences by maintaining high coding standards.
Job Requirements: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Knowledge:
Minimum of 2 years of coding experience.
Expert knowledge of HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, XSLT & ActionScript.
Visual examples required.
Knowledge of Adobe AIR/Flash Remoting/Flash Communication Server/Flex is an asset.
