I have at least two friends who were programmer in Toronto, when dot.com bubble burst, they quit job at their late thirties to pursuit MBA. Both of them graduated with little more than 100k pay. They are very goal driven people though and willing to take a risk, and graduate at good timing, as MBA job hunting is very economy related.
BTW, interesting enough, one guy's wife is a DR in china, and ends up becoming a DR in State last year.
