A manager receives tons of emails a day, do you think all of them are informative? no. One important purpose of paper work is to keep the evidence in the future. Send her an email which including the company's policy, different work load for different position, and so on. The most important thing is don't express any opinion of your own. In the future, if needed, you can show the email as an evidence which will strongly back you up.
