Business Objects merging with SAP has a profound impact in industry. Crystal Enterprise Management Suite is a very popular reporting tool residing in the middle tier. Customers are worrying that SAP will change the route of Crystal products and eventually force them to use Netweaver platform.
It is good opportunity for SAP to increase its market share, also a good chance for Open Source Community like IText to move forward to develop and promote enterprise-level application to allure customers who begins to seek more open source solutions.
