Are you looking for a unique opportunity with a progressive and growing organization? If so, CGI is actively searching for a Future .NET Developers to work on client projects throughout the GTA.
As a CGI consultant you would be responsible for providing professional and effective technical consulting services to client organizations while working with the team as the .NET Developers.
As a .Net Developer you will be responsible for the full life cycle of enhancements including analysis, design, coding and testing as well as preparing project and user documentation for the client’s applications.
As a .Net Developer, you must be a strong leader to provide guidance and technical expertise within our web application development team using Microsoft's .NET technologies. You will provide technical direction to developers during design, development and testing while providing mentorship to junior staff. Shift work and overtime may be required during the deployment weekends and sometimes during the maintenance windows.
Applicants must be detail-oriented and be able to effectively prioritize personal efforts, and those of their team. You must be able to effectively follow-up to ensure all aspects of the client engagement are addressed and any issues are escalated appropriately. You should be able to work with minimal supervision when on a client location and have a strong understanding and leadership in application of Microsoft Solution Framework or similar framework/methodologies.
Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline along with a minimum of two to five (2-5) years of relevant Web technologies experience. You have hands-on experience with complex web-based systems, along with multi-tiered development and OO programming experience. You should have at least one Microsoft certification in a related competency.
Successful candidates will be highly motivated self-starters with strong interpersonal skills. You will possess an extremely high comfort level dealing with clients and understanding the client/service provider relationship. You will be responsible for maintaining good customer relationships by directly interacting with the client and providing prompt problem solving services. Therefore, you must possess exceptional written and oral communication skills complemented with strong relationship building skills.
In addition, successful candidates will possess a solid understanding of information technology management services and emerging technology trends. They will also possess the following technical experience:
Required Work Experience:
5 years + experience in Web technologies minimum
Proven practical experience in delivery of complex web based systems
Multi –tiered development
Must Have Technical Skills:
SharePoint, Visual C#, Visual BASIC .NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, Visual BASIC/VBA, ASP, VBScript, Java Script, PostScript, C++/C, Java, SQL, HSM and XML
Developing Tools:
Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2002/2003, Rational Rose (RUP), Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Visual SourceSafe, Erwin 3.52/4.1
Platforms/Servers:
Microsoft Commerce Server 2002, Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003, Windows XP/2000/NT/98
Nice to Have Technical Skills :
Database (DB2/Oracle)
MS SQL 2000 or better
BizTalk, CMS, SharePoint, SQL server, C#
