remember, increase salary or promotion only link to business needs not personal needs such as i just bought a car/house. Positive way, your more contribution can save $ for company or create $ for the company. Or better team build and encourage co-work to do more. So increase your pay should be business need. Now you need to work hard for yourself to think about right reason for your boss to increase your pay.
