Not many people want to stay in Bermuda too long-- too boring there: thousands of hedge funds operating there, small cities, no fun after a day's work. Normally people return to the continent after two years.
I know you are working for CIBC DCM now. Even Yin Luo in CIBC Equity Research is much much more successful than your friend does. Keep in mind that Yin just graduated from B-School several years ago as well.
