Hydro is building a wireless network (WiFi) in the downtown area,
-- from Bloor St in the north to Front St in the south (3km),
-- from Spadina Ave in the west to Jarvis St in the east (2km)
As you know, WiFi has a limit in terms of how far the signal can transmit. Assuming
-- the maximum distance the signal can transmit is 500 meters (0.5km),
-- other conditions such as highrises or weather condition won’t have an impact
in the minimum how many access points ( aka hotspots or transmitters) have to be installed in order for any cellular phone in any of the area mentioned above can receive the signals ?
